No my melons don't break any records..but they are
sweeter than most any you can buy.

With the Okra..wash, cut, then chill it in ice water
for about 5min.
Then take it out & let it drain on paper towels
then season it with your favorite spices.

Get a frying pan somewhat hot with just enough Olive Oil
to keep it from sticking.
Fry it turning only once ( but be sure it turns crispy
brown on both sides ) then you have no slime.

BTW I like my squash a little more than the Okra..
if I could only have one it would be the squash.

In both cases I like to sprinkle a small amount
of aged Parmesan cheese over them after cooking
but while they are still hot.

My real delight is the hearts of broccoli steams
after it stops making..they are a lot of trouble getting
at ( peeling the tough outside cover off ) but the
inside of the steams are a delicacy , & almost exotic.

PS if you want to grow something that looks like it's
from outer space plant some Kohlrabi..
