How many are defective, awaiting repairs (when they get around to opening up the splice points)? How many are retired in place? How many of those alleged 200,000,000 are actually bridged pairs, or a part of a bridged tap environment? How many have been converted to T1s for DLC (pair gain) backbone purposes? How many come from pair gain devices? What percent are feeder? What percent are distribution? Huh? 97%, indeed ;-) FACetious
