Did anyone catch this from Totaltelecom?Mobile & Satellite Globalstar expands Brazilian operations RDSL 15 August 2000 Satellite mobile communications company Globalstar will set up operations in the Northeast of Brazil by the end of August, with investments of US$25 million in a gateway station in Petrolina (Pernambuco state). The company, currently with 300 users, aims to capture 3,000 customers in the region by the end of 2000 or 20% of its goal for the country. Globostar, which already operates in Sao Paulo state, is to focus in the North region, with total investments of US$180 million in its operations. Whose 25 mil was spent? I suspect it is Lor/Vod as I believe they are partners in the Brazilian gw's. Does anyone know for sure?
