Thread;

Well, it looks like my cpq shares will be leaving me in the next few days. It's been fun. My august 30 calls have little chance of seeing cpq below 30 by friday.

I suppose I could buy cpq back at around 33 or 32.50. But is it worth it? Is cpq going to rocket straight up from here? Is 40 just around the corner sans pullback?

Maybe I should buy hwp, given Carly's fantastic turnaround job! (just kidding - the easy money has already been made with hwp).

BTW - whatever happened to that jerk-off analyst who lowered his price target on cpq from 40 to 25 about a month and a half ago? Remember that clown? If i remember correctly he was from Salomon Smith Barney. He deserves the jerk of the summer award. In fact that whole firm appears to be a bit of a joke. SSB also forecasted the end of the semi-conductor cycle. Yea right!!

Which brings me to Captain Jack. You and I, my friend, are in the same boat - come monday we'll have some extra cash and very little cpq left in our portfolios to aggravate us. Any thoughts on where to put that extra cash to work? I've been giving some thought to the retail sector (how about wmt or hd?).

got to go. Good luck to those of you still holding cpq (particularly you Michael - you earned it)
