I think there is a spectrum of abilities we are discussing, a continuum, and since it's not just one ability, it's multidimensional, and yes, there are people who I don't think the government ought to be supporting because they are not deserving. Probably you and I would agree about many of them. I doubt that you believe that everyone who asks for support is worthy of it, so the concept of not wanting to support certain people because they aren't deserving isn't flawed. We probably just disagree about where to draw the line.
