I would say you are misinterpreting the issues I have raised because...

1.) I do not support the gay lifestyle, but I do support their incontrovertible right to live their lives the way they choose as long as it does not violate or interfere with the inalienable rights or property rights held by other individuals.

2.) Overall, gays in society have been oppressed because of their sexual orientation and continue to be oppressed. Society treats gays with a dual-standard. There are indeed certain rights and privileges withheld from gays and some of those rights and privileges are incorporated in matrimony.

3.) I have never advocated, nor do I advocate now, "government assistance" for any individual or group. Quite the contrary, I am opposed to all such assistance except where the government has the duty to uphold, protect and maintain the civil rights, inalienable rights and property rights of any American citizen no matter their race, sex, color, creed or sexual orientation.

1) convincing the rest of us that Gays as a group are suppressed in society because of the legal system, and

2) You have a sure fire way of labeling individuals who would qualify for any governmental assistance.
