Andreas,

BTW, remember last time when Intel held their IDF? (February) AMD demonstrated a 1.1 Ghz Thunderbird then. I think they'll plan something similar this time as well. A DDR presentation / announcement is my guess.

1.5 GHz Mustang would be nice. 2 1.5 GHz Mustangs running on 760MP based motherboard would be excellent.

Joe

PS: When is the next IDF?

Andreas,

In the ON24 interview, Jerry said that 1.2 Ghz DDR would be a Q4 product. To give OEMs some breathing room between product cycles, I think that AMD has been giving at least one month between speed bumps. With 1.1 Ghz on 8/28, I do not expect 1.2 before early October.

Good point. I suspect that Intel will either announce the 1.5 Ghz P4 or demo a higher Mhz version. It would be nice if AMD could counter with something.

Pravin.
