Dear Tony:

Re: SMP

SMP stands for Symmetrical Multi-Processing whereas MP stands for Multiple Processors (no architecture requirements). 2 way means 2 CPUs.

The way to handle Missouri (Mules) is to hit them over the head with a 2x4 to get their attention. You then hit them again with the 2x4 to get them to keep paying attention. Do you need the same treatment?

Pete

Tony, I was under impression that an expert in servers
can understand pictures at least:
athena.tweakers.net
(commented in plain - not King's - English).
I assume that said expert in the field would easily
recognize the shared memory on the diagram,
and come to conclusion that the particular
architecture is of SMP type.
