John,

Oh MP3 players will sell alright, but they will not be the huge market that digital cameras are by a long shot. I assume you are talking about MP3 players with flash memory.

There was a good report on CNN a couple of nights ago, comparing all available MP3 flash memory players on the market, comparing features, capacity and cost. The closing comment they made was that the consumers who most listen to MP3 music were young people who are the least able to afford the high cost of these players.

Believe it or not, they made that report without consulting me at all. What a coinky dinky!

Don't worry, MMC cards will sell very very well for many different applications.

Hey, what the hell do I know anyway?

John, guess that is why I am not in marketing, big grin ...

However, I still don't understand the attraction to a
32 meg Player. Kinda brain-dead to listen to 7 or 8
songs over and over ..... I rather buy an FM radio
and listen to a bunch of different songs, and if I
only have time to listen to 8 songs, why listen at all,
peace and quiet and mental reflection while running is
rewarding as well .....

Guess, my older generation is definitely not in tune any longer.

Peace !
