If you don't feel represented enough go find yourself a bunch of people to clump together with.

What? And demand the force of the feds to back up my claims on the funds I deem necessary?

That's what I'm getting at: There's no place the federal government's power doesn't reach. Such things not assigned the federal government by the states were supposed to be forbidden to it. If that were the case in practice, and taxes and programs were local, there would be a chance one could clump resources where one wanted to and not infringe the resources of others.

The argument I make here would be similar to what I contend a politician clamoring for federal policies to regulate abortion, drug use, prostitution, etc. should do: "Go preaching, not politicking."

And even in this country, we have taxation without representation. Anyone who is not voting or can not vote is being taxed without representation. I agree that part of the wealth you earn is probably due to the State which is why the State is due. If you have wealth, people will try to take it. Taxation is the contract you hold with the Landlord (the State) to help protect you and your wealth. Anarchists won't protect you. The Libertarian Party lives in a fantasy world where this is all privatized. What, we all hire goons to act as our protectors?

But still, I'm almost ready to join X's Libertarian Socialists. The problem with the two track system, is that it is base upon "separate but equal". Much of where you are in society comes from who you are in that society. So, the wealthy become "pet owners", each having his/her down-on-their-luck charity case? Come along Fifi, time for your walkies. So do all these people who can't fend for themselves get to breed like so many rats? Or are they more like big fat dumb Persian (spayed) cats, not a brain in the world, but every self sufficient person gets to own one? I'm a male, so I'm having a little fantasy here, briefly, but short of that delicious image, it's probably not generally good for a society as a whole.
