LOL! I can't believe you are arguing this with me. Pin fin optimization simply means desiging the fin such that the thermal conductivity along the shaft of the fin is no more than needed. What is "needed" has to do with what fan is used (ie how much heat can be sucked out per surface area) and how big the heat source is.

Now I am 100% sure that thermal managemnet is not your area of expertise. You could not be more wrong in your above statement. Optimizing the fins has nothing to do with the junction temp. NOTHING!,zero zip, nada!

There is no doubt in my mind, that a Coppermine would not be able to benefit from Copper fins in a from factor that is used inside a PC.

Since this has become OT, I'll let you have the last say and I let it go.
