Jim,

<This is true but don't underestimate the shadow (or Paul) that Intel casts upon it's competitors>

Hehe, tell me about it. My own father was telling me about how Intel was so big and could afford the R&D and had more industry clout. This is after listening to hours of me discuss AMD's good points after all of my talking he is still not convinced. My own father! :( In addition there are many individuals out there much more recalcitrant in changing their opinions on AMD than my dad. And whereas I have made my analysis and taken my personal positions his points aren't invalid. Intel is still a serious competitor, does indeed present an intimidating front, and AMD's task is daunting. It is precisely that as well as AMD's checkered past which will make the perception changes slower than some are thinking they will occur.

Regards,

Epinephrine

Re: No off topic post, no insults, personal attacks or name calling.

Are there any rules - reminiscent of the times on the original thread - that I do not understand? Just interested on a Friday evening.

Manfred
