I hope one of the updates is a fix to navap.vxd. I have uninstalled and reinstalled System 2000 a couple of times; and unless I rename navap.vxd I get a windows protection error. Of course by renaming it I lose my active virus protection.

Steve

PS On the native Windows direct cable connection; it is not installed by default. If you go Control Panel->Add/Remove Software->Windows Components you can add it in. Also, while the serial null cable is slow the parallel null cable will move a couple hundred Meg in a couple hours.

can you say which updates these were?

Wish I could be more specific mark, but I was at work and not paying much attention. I now have version 1999.03 systemworks and anti-virus version 6.10.20. I also am now getting messages that I have not performed a full scan yet and that I need to create rescue disks. Maybe I slipped in this am and got something that was later taken down. I'll let you know if I see any problems.
