I hope one of the updates is a fix to navap.vxd. I have uninstalled and reinstalled System 2000 a couple of times; and unless I rename navap.vxd I get a windows protection error. Of course by renaming it I lose my active virus protection. Steve PS On the native Windows direct cable connection; it is not installed by default. If you go Control Panel->Add/Remove Software->Windows Components you can add it in. Also, while the serial null cable is slow the parallel null cable will move a couple hundred Meg in a couple hours.
