I sure like the low battery draw. Possibility of using AA batteries is also very appealing.
Doesn't the Transmeta chip have to emulate x86 hence it's about 30% slower that a Pentium III? What about running Linux, how fast compared to a Pentium III?

This deal may only involve AMD's license of LDT to Tansmeta in efforts to broaden LDT adoption.

Transmeta may not want to give AMD its power management technology; or even Transmeta is willing, Can that technology be realistically incorporated into mobil Athlons?
