Gerald, although there is separation of CHurch and State in US constituion, the voters have always been keen on the fact that the man who occupies the WHite HOuse must be a God Fearing person. Didn't Machiavelli (sp?) say that it was important for a prince to appear to be of high moral character and a man of his word, but to actually be so was detrimental?
