Might you "walk a mile" in Richard's shoes so that your clinical approach to life obtain stuff that is not allowed in a sterile environment? For example using the off the wall subject of chickens. Imagine a person running a business that supplies eggs from his chicken farm to local grocery stores, and all is not well as the customers who purchase these farm fresh local eggs complain about breakage when the egg container is opened. Your approach would be to study the mechanics of the farm throught the process it uses from start to finish to gather the eggs from the hens until arrival to the stores for sale. You collect data and study what is done and decide that the person hired to take the eggs from the hens nests are not careful in the gathering, and crack are made in the eggs as the worker handles the eggs without care. ok, either fire the worker or give a warning and another chance to the worker. ok, with a new worker or the same worker now more carefull the next 2 weeks have eggs delived to the store in excellent condition. But after 2 weeks the same problem occures. And once again the worker is replaced with a more careful version. Once again same cycle of ok for 2 weeks and then same breakage of eggs by the worker. So Rarebird in my opinion your approach will not identify what needs to be changed to correct the problem, and infact if Richard arrived upon the scene and identified the problem that you would reject it. Richard would not focus on the mechanics of the egg farm as the source to discover what is wrong, Richard would leave the textbook method that gives a cookbook approach to problems, and one has to locate as close as possible an example in the book to the one looked at. The Rarebird method obtains the solution given for the problem that most fits the one being looked at. Richard will decide whats what from getting his hands dirty and actually experiencing first hand what is happening at the egg farm, rather than your approach to locate in the books an example as close as possible. Rarebird removes the actual person doing the egg collection and replaces this person with the books mathmatical of sort model to represent that part of the process. Richard meets the worker and understand the worker's attitude and obtains the end result of a system that does not place the well being of a worker as part of the equation. In this example the worker was payed too little and housed in dirty sub human conditions. Basically, treated like an animal and showned no respect as a person. Richard would identify the farmer as manipulating a system that imports from Mexico near "slave" labor because the job is not nice and these Mexicans have it extremely bad where they live. Yes the Mexicans have no choice to accept the terms of employment as in most all cases the workers self worth and individualism and pride and honor are pushed aside through a task to house and feed his children. Lessor of two evils has to be made by the worker, and the worker has decided that there is more value in obtaining a salary from a job that degrades him, than letting his children go hungry. But ofcourse the human spirit is too strong and the worker fights a battle inside himself not to be belittled by the incorrect, a.k.a manipulated ways of society. Point Richard is making is that what you see as manipulation as just life is not easy etc, is that the manipulation may be santioned by the laws, but the laws were created by people that are criminal and not moral. doug but longone was actually there each day looking at the carnage in person real time on the battle fields, while rarebird read the reports and seperated this element out as having no use to decide what to do next. But longone was horrified with what he saw and wanted to allocate resources to prevent any more occurance of it. Longone was in a short term mode, as in now, while rarebird saw events to lead to a conclusion down the road to prepare for the next great war. I'm interested in pursuing the Truth and Understanding the Fundamental Economic Reality. If you or Richard cannot fathom the fundamental economic reality as it pertains to Gold and need to cry Manipulation like Gata Slave Boys, that is your perogative. Think for yourself, for a change. PS Try to present an argument on behalf of a higher POG. Terms of Use Got a comment, question or suggestion? Contact Silicon Investor.
