No, a great deal of this "anti-gold" sentiment(& resulting manipulation) comes from that very extremist environmental "thou shall not cut or mine or farm or anything" lunacy. This lunacy has forbidden our trained forestry managers from the ability to use even a chainsaw or truck prior to a fire to clear that (often hardwood)undergrowth which has caused these many problems. It was these extremist views which crammed MTBE in our fuel tanks against our wishes & now threatens water supply in many areas where any moisture is dear! It is the thief of farm & ranchland and perhaps the absolute future of our entire world, if not at least our country.
