Let me put that into bold face for you, since you seem to think that bold face makes your writing more comprehensible: ...the Clinton Administration, far from being a moderate administration, was extremist, contemptuous of self- government, and not terribly democratic. In other words, it was a liberal administration........ The clear reading of this is: The Clinton Administration was "extremist," "contemptuous of self-government," and "not terribly democratic." That is just another way of saying it was a liberal administration.
