donnacat i am downloading netscape communicator4.75 at this moment, with 128-bit encryption. and yes, as i previously stated, it does include the java security hole patch (though netscape gives you the whole darn browser instead of a patch). it's okay to load it right on top of an existing netscape browser (i'm running nc4.7), but to be safe, it is smart to back up the netscape user directory... which i did. i hasten to add that in all the netscape browser upgrades i have undergone since net nav3.0, i have never had to resort to using the backed up files. lucky me, i guess i'll let you know how it goes. if you don't hear from me for a few days, rest assured i am in upgrade hell :) mark
