This afternoon I feel like a used charcoal quoquette. We are back from a too quick trip out to Santa Cruz to look at UCSC. They took us on a walking tour of the campus. We left bodies behind us like Hansel left breadcrumbs. For us Dallas flatlanders, it was like climbing the Alps. Ammo said he was checking out the students to see if they all had enormous calves. And we're still recovering from the souvenir we brought back from Mexico. It is the most incredible campus I've ever seen. COmpletely different from the Eastern Ivy league styles I'm used to. Dan kept saying, "I could market this place as a resort." Ammo is sold. California here he comes- if he can get in. NOW he says- "Why didn't you make me study harder!" I can't believe this! It's going to be MY fault when he has to go to community college.. being a parent is such a thankless task.
