merry, amzn's story from the getgo was that we'll make a ton of money if we just sell enough product. this deal w/ toys r us is a tacit admission that they were wrong.

they would continue losing money. they haven't forestalled present profit for future windfall, they just flat out didn't know how to make a profit even though they had been trying.

so now they try another way to make money. well, at least they recognize that they need to change their strategy b/c the old one was bankrupt. not that this will work... but the old strategy had a coffin around it...

the term "business practitioner" seems to fit amzn and most e-tailers. they keep practicing b/c they don't know what works. -ng-
