Hi Winkie

You're right...I don't dismiss out of hand that larger shipments of Persian Gulf oil is enroute somewhere, it was really the numbers that were picked out of the air...like 900M barrels in transit and 60 day trips (doesn't that kind of depend on where the hell they are going? <g>). OPEC must export 20MBD and if the average voyage is 60 days, that would be 1.2BB in transit so saying 900M without saying how much is normally in transit is rather dumb. I really do think there is a possibility of some supply increases in coming weeks (AA does have good sources...he should...he has probably been there since the crash...not '87...'29.). As you say, nimble is the key word. I am definitely not in the "impending shortages" camp around here.

John

Based on Bernie's logic, I guess we are to believe that something like 90% of the world's tankers are full and headed this way. Does that mean that in 60 days, 90% of the worlds tankers will be empty and heading back? <ggg>
