Joe,

Winters along the Front Range of Colorado have become very mild during the last decade. Last winter saw no temperatures below 0F, and many, many days above 60F in Boulder.

Is this good or bad? Who knows, but it is definitely indicative of rapid change. Colorado used to have cold winters.

PS: Didn't the east coast have an unusually bearable summer, and unusually pleasant spring? If this is what the supposed global warming will mean, I can't wait.

Yes, it's been a very cool summer here. I think there were a couple of 90F days in June but none in July or so far in Aug. Very unusual. Also - a lot of rain. I do agree that the winters seem to be getting milder. We use to routinely see winter nights of -15F. Now, it rarely gets to -5F.
