CDNX SYMBOL: AQI AUGUST 22, 2000 - 11:26 EDT Aquiline Resources Inc.: Induced Polarization Survey (IP) Shows Strong Anomalies At River Valley TORONTO, ONTARIO--Aquiline Resources Inc. is pleased to announce the results of an Induced Polarization survey (IP) carried out on its River Valley property, which is under option from Mustang Minerals Corp. (MMIN-CDN) (Aquiline 70%, Mustang 30%). This property is located on the northwest 'shoulder' of the River Valley pluton, approximately 5 kilometers west south-west of Pacific Northwest Capital's recent drilling on their Dana Lake palladium discovery. The claim block is proximal to the Grenville front (a large regional paleo-fault) and is bifurcated by a strong northwesterly striking fault, which the Sturgeon River follows in this area. Metamorphism associated with these events has obliterated the original texture of River Valley intrusive in this area and left in place amphibolite facies rocks. In general, the property hosts a series of strong, narrow, elongate IP (high chargeability) and coincident high resistivity bands striking roughly north-south on the northern and eastern portion of the claim block, and more moderate anomalies striking east-west in the southern and western portion of claims. (Please refer to the accompanying diagram) These data suggest sulfides, which may host platinum group elements, are the sources of the north-south striking anomalies. None are exposed in outcrop, although some may sub-outcrop in swamps. In some cases, these anomalies are coincident with weak base metal soil anomalies. The geophysical surveys, which included a magnetometer survey as well as spectral IP/resistivity were carried out by JVX Ltd. of Richmond Hill, Ontario. In their report to the Company, JVX identified eight discrete targets, six of which they classified as high to very high priority targets. JVX concludes "the chargeability data clearly outline several major sulfide zones" and recommend trenching (where possible) and drilling of the targets. Aquiline plans to commence a drill program to begin testing the joint venture anomalies early in the fourth quarter. Details with respect to the scope of the drilling will be provided at that time. In addition, the company plans to complete line cutting and IP surveying and initiate drilling on its Dana North claim block after freeze-up provides accessibility to wet lands which cannot be entered upon in summer. cdn-news.com Regards
