I highly doubt this figure, do you have a source? I can't imagine the bottom 80% actually have 20% influence. My guess is it's the top 5% that control/own 80% of this country's wealth.

I don't have a link because I read it in a book five years ago. However I have heard it said again since then. I will try to find a source on the net.

But I did state it wrongly, or rather, not clearly. The controlling percentage is less than 20% moving towards 10%, and the amount of wealth they control is now greater than 80% and growing.
