No it is not Randian... it is "Terrencian!!" The strongest bridges are between individuals. The type of bridges Gore wants to build are spirals that curve back in upon themselves and end up empowering the federal government to an even greater degree -- at the expense of individual freedoms and rights, of course. Perhaps the analogy seems "empty and devoid of meaning" to you, because you are used to spoon-fed pablum from saccharine-mouthed liberals spouting time-worn slogans and bromides. Perhaps "intangible" to you because new concepts have to be regurgitated 50 times by the major news media in sound bites that are digested to their barest element and then foisted upon slack-jawed, bleary-eyed, pharmaceutically stoned and programmed humanoids waiting to see what their Big Daddy in Washington will do for them next...
