t2, RE: Can anyone confirm whether this is the last day for employees to sell stock. Volume picked picked up in a big way in the last hour, relative to Intel and Microsoft. Could that mean that we are about to move up starting tomorrow---assuming employee window is closed today.

Let me preface this by saying that I have no idea what Cisco's policy regarding employee sales is. I do know that Cisco is VERY responsive to shareholder questions, and I would imagine that this is no exception. I would highly recommend either a call to Cisco or an email.

I do know that most companies put restrictions on officer trading around earnings announcements, usually two weeks on either side. Contrary to what many on this thread are talking about, though, this would mean that the window is opening, not closing.

Cisco reported earnings on 8 Aug. Two weeks hence would be today. My educated guess would be that starting tomorrow, employees would be allowed to sell, not the other way around.

Again, if this is really important to you (and I honestly do not know why it would be) then I recommend a call to Cisco.
