You know what else is pathetic. A guy like Al Gore who earned over 400 grand and gave less than 400 bucks to charity while claiming he's for the little guy.

It's unbelievable the apparent bounce Algore got from his speech at the Dem. convention. What kind of character flaw does it show when Al Gore, who can't wait to give away all of my taxable income, gives less than $500 charitable donations in 1998. He makes $200,000 plus and makes no church pledge, cancer fund donations or anything. Heck we get suckered into more than $500 in donations in fundraisers at my 1st graders school.

Last night I saw singer Jewell, give her unabashed support for Algore. She has set up a charitable fund where she gives away 60% of her income. Very admirable. How can she support Gore who talks a great game but just can't back it up. How come it is so obvious to me that he would say or do anything to get elected.

I am a lifelong Republican, but voted for Jim Hunt, a Democrat, for governer of our state (NC). I actually liked Clinton the first couple of months of his first term, as I thought he was actually a "new Democrat". It didn't take long to see what a dishonorable adminstration we had in the White House.

I'm sure there are many Republicans such as me that are no that infatuated with George W. He seems like an honest, decent, likable guy to be sure. But there are a group of voters such as me who can recognize a fraud and can identify when somebody is jerking your chain. Algore is a joke. Lieberman also has sold his soul for the chance to be VP. "Conscience of the Senate"....give me a break. I actually could have voted for Bob Kerry had he run, him I like, but Gore, no way. He's like the suck up kid in elementary school who brings apples to the teacher each day. The absolute king of pandering. Sorry to rant, but I just can't see how anyone could be so blind to support the Dem. ticket this year.
