Dear Down South: I have no idea where the stock price will be in 5 years, but I do believe that it is obvious the company is going to have to institute a huge stock buyback program ultimately, so I think I would dispute a 6% annual increase in shares outstanding.. So far the company has gotten away with issuing more shares and pooling acquisitions but I think sooner or later that will change. JDN

Please recognize that the 'right numbers' is an opinion, not a fact.

And there is a reasonable case to be made that actual reported earnings should be used for CSCO rather than the pro-forma numbers that you prefer.
