Much is made of taxes. My experience has been that taxes are bad only when the $ is misspent. Where taxes are spent
wisely, everyone benefits.

1 - I think a large percentage is misspent.
2 - Even when the money is spent wisely, in the sense that it is spent for a good reason and achieves concrete positive results, it is usually less efficiently spent then money that is spent by the private sector.
3 - Even if money is spent wisely and efficiently it reduces freedom because we get less of our own money to spend for myself instead it is taken away and the politicians decide how to spend it.
