>>I do not dispute that reliability, trustworthiness and customer service come before price<<

i do for many inet commodity shoppers. i was getting $40 books delivered to my door 2nd day air for $12, fully delivered.

amzm was about $25 with discounts.

price, baby.

bezos agrees with me b/c he won't raise prices. he knows he can't raise prices. folks can justify whatever they want, however they want, but reality bites.

"

Under terms of the January agreement, Amazon acquired 5 percent of Greenlight's outstanding
shares for an undisclosed sum. Amazon also will receive $82.5 million from Greenlight.com
over a 5-year period and receive warrants to increase its stake to 30 percent during that time."

Excuse me but Greenligh.com has almost no revenue, is burning cash and is down to about $15 miion in cash. How is Greenligh.com going to pay Amazon $82.5 million when they will have difficulty paying their employees through next spring?

Just came across this article. Have to see how this plays out. cnnfn.cnn.com;

Yeah, they are obviously willing to try many different "etail" angles. It's very tough to know which ones will work well today, which ones won't work well anytime soon, and which will work well in the near future.
