They don't compete. Why don't you show how they do.

I could have compared the Att/ATHM ad with any ad, but I chose the AOL comparison since so many clowns like yourself think they're relevant. In fact, it was an air head of your caliber who made the Excite purchase based on a imagined fear of AOL. It wasn't even that.

Jermo reacted to the fact that AOL rejected ATHM's offer to merge. Jermo thought ATHM was the cock of the walk, so he wanted to hurt AOL, bad. His macho caused the stock be one of the most disastrous on Wall Street.

ATHM employees will walk across the street and go to work for any of the nearby tech companies. That has nothing to do with AOL.

Comcast hasn't done anything of the sort. You believe whatever you need to believe in order to look significant. There's a job for you in corporate America. Why not try for ATHM?

Have you said anything that isn't just a rehash of year or more old topics?

Michaelth1,

Our country is capitalistic, of course it's ALL competition.

My previous point is merely that it is not a head-to-head, apples to apples analogy when you discuss ATHM/AOL. One is the new medium of delivery and the other is wiz bang media savvy ISP sitting atop an old first generation slow ride with not the greatest prospects for now effortlessly bridging the jump to BB cable for a HUGE footprint. I am sure deals will come or at least be attempted.

As I have stated before, last summer, I see the analogy more like comparing electrification to the replacement of Gas for lighting and home power needs. Now Gas is pretty much heating. There are many similarities between ATHM and AOL and yes they seem rivals but it is the inherent difference that drew you here and to be an investor. It is this same difference that may have inspired Case to either make his big doe by buying into TWX or in the belief that he WAS buying a ride on RR and a powerful hand for bargining. 'Time' will tell...

Have you ever called Comcast of other MSO's to directly ask about self installs? I have not but am curious what they say if they are planning on moving forward with it, in light of concerns about network integrity expressed here.

Has anyone here done that?
