Bob,
For safety, I would stick with HCP, HR, UHT, and maybe HCN in the healthcare REITs. NHP may be OK also. None of these have pulled back enough to peak my interest, though UHT is close. I'd rather own HRP at these prices levels, since it has upside if SNH recovers, and is currently priced as if SNH is worse than worthless.

Most of the others scare me, especially, OHI, ETT, LTC, NHI, SNH, VTR, MT, GLR, NHR. A few of these will be winners, and if you bought a basket of all of these in equal proportions, 2 or 3 will be triples in the next 8-10 years, but I have no idea which ones will survive.
