Rsurckla, re: SAMSUNG TO MAKE RMBS SEALED Pcs

Since the article doesn't specify the type of memory, RDRAM seem's to be speculation.
As for the statement, 32Mb memory CHIP (not chipS, but a single CHIP). Only RMBS baby. Only RMBS. Nobody else can do those king of things

These would be 256Mb chip's. Wouldn't surprise me if it is RDRAM, but Samsung also lists a 32Mbx8 SDRAM and a 32Mbx8 DDRSDRAM.
Their listed RDRAM is 16MbX18. (For ECC).

As for status, the SDRAM is in mass production, the DDRSDRAM samples next month and the RDRAM samples Q4.

Richard,

Nobody is putting DRDRAM in set top boxes. It is too expensive for a low performance, low cost product.
