"He doesn't cover himself with glory in this"

I had the opposite opinion of the interview. What I perceived was a very tired man who was willing to be vulnerable and frank about Oracle, his life and what led him to the decision he made. He is being frank because he probably is emotionally shot and because he has no intention of going back to that kind of business world again. He wants to control his life now. He doesn't want to spend 18 hours a day on an airplane and in meetings. To me that is not a "chowder head" at all but a very wise man who finally figured out that he was simply wasting away his life running as fast as he could on a non stop mouse wheel .. and getting no where. He simply decided to step off the wheel and is finally live his life they way he wants to with the time, and health, he has left. Sounds pretty smart to me.

p.s. "Glory" ain't what it's cracked up to be :) Good friends, your spouse, your children, some adventure in your life, doing something you love (and having the time and money to do it) and goals that bless you and others.. now that my friend is "success" (and happiness :) Sounds like Lane is quite "successful" to me.
