Media General has updated its records on institutional holdings from 30/6 to 30/7 ________________________________ As of 7/31/2000 Shares Held by Institutions 9,780,000 Percent of Shares Outstanding Held by Institutions 36.6% Institutions Holding Shares 114 ____________ The first two figures agree with Insider Trader but the third figure does not. IT had about 73 whereas Media General has 114 (down from 77 and 124 one month previously). Both sources appear to be relying on the Norwest Bank owning 8%. I think this is wrong. The only way Norwest should be included is if it is holding for institutions. It seems more likely that it is holding for NETP, or for NETP officers - but until we get information on this, it is an enigma).
