just heard a report on headline news that microsoft has developed a chip which toshiba will manufacture\produce, investing 100M for its webtv. microsoft has never been in the chip business before the report said. microsoft was reportedly furious that intel was developing software. the report went on to say that this project is so serious to microsoft & its Internet strategy going forward that bill gates was reported as saying, " we have bet the entire future of the company on this." stew & unclewest if that’s true, microsoft has placed one heck of a premium on interactive t.v. to say the least. your thoughts on this would be appreciated. i myself think this might have enormous benefit for gmst.
