Not very clever. Ice melting in the arctic circle is not new, certainly NOT the first time in history. If you knew anything about climatology and geology, you'd be aware that a short-term (from a climatological standpoint) cooling trend began about 600 years ago. The cooling trend is coming to an end and the Earth (a living, changing planet) is warming as it has warmed and cooled for millennia in its cycles. Much of the science about "global warming" is bad science -- politicized science.

FYI, the geographic "North Pole" used to be in the area the Hawaiian Islands occupy today. What used to be occupying what we now call the North Pole was primarily water. At that time the two small continents under the Antarctic were free of ice... once about 30,000 years ago and sometime during the Jurassic period as well -- they are digging up dinosaurs there and have discovered huge oil fields.

So much for your cock-eyed, ignorant hypothesis.

the ice over the North Pole has melted, for the first time in history

<<He did not ride in a riverboat in Connecticut, he rode in a canoe>>

Who would have put a riverboat on the river in Connecticut? They had to let water out to float his red canoe. The riverboat was on the Mississippi. Melting the polar cap wouldn't have raised the water in the Mississippi, it starts below the Continental Divide.
