Yep, but I think the "crash" coincided with the CNBC reporting? Did it not?

I bet you're right on that one!! I really think the media needs to take a good hard look at their role in this event.
Of course I have been espousing that cause for years.
The line between reporting news and making news is becoming more and more blurred.

It is self-serving that Dave Faber on CNBC repeated several times after the fact that he thought the press release seemed quite odd to him when he viewed it...but the news was disseminated as the real thing anyway.
