I know of nobody else besides Velikovsky, or one of his followers who thinks that the geographic shifting of the Earth's axis on it's own is possible. Maybe George W. will promote this idea, along with the regurgitation of his party line dogma that there is no global warming occurring, and Creationism is just as valid as real science. There probably was a shift when the moon was torn from the Earth billions of years ago, but even that probably wasn't a total flip of the axis. There are huge amounts of momentum involved, especially at the Equator. Del
