The lyrics you have been posting aren't bad for song lyrics, Neo. But interesting that one of the authors is Bob Dylan, who is often described as a "poet." Poet or lyricist? As the first, he doesn't make it, IMO. As the second, he'll do.

A brief comment on this last song, only to show how poor technique can undercut the meaning. (The others have similar weaknesses.)

I would guess that the author(s) used "game" here only because it rhymes with "fame": a price cannot be a game, although "paying a price" could conceivably be.
