Yes, I noticed it. The power considerations take a "back seat" at the moment to availability considerations. Power usage will come down, but right now the processing power of the Athlon interests me lots more than the power consumed. The TransMeta 1W chip sounds like a neat thing but it just won't "kick butt", the Athlon kicks butt in a major way!

DRBES, As usual, Pawl does not know watt he is talking about. People with fast cars/CPUs do not care about mileage/watts, in fact they are often proud of it.
New Athlons are getting more efficient and use less watts/mhz than the early ones.
Anyway, soon he will lose this cause to comment about.
