Maurice - I am confused between your two pricing schemes. I was just coming around to the idea that G* and maybe even cellular should price at a rate to fill all capacity at any given time. (This despite the horror of marketing colleagues who really think consumers would hate the uncertainty). This would result in really low prices at some times and higher prices at others, but probably generally lower prices on average. Then this scheme comes around to price CDMA at rates such that providers wouldn't bid much for spectrum. The problem with it is that they would just delay and use GSM, GPRS and EDGE. It suggests that there is no competition between standards. While we know CDMA is the greatest we also know, too much, that there are tough competitors out there that aren't really rolling over and playing dead yet against CDMA, and this is even with the existing low royalty rates. Doesn't it bother you that CDMA would have been deployed even later than it appears to be deployed now under your plan? Another delay of even 2-3 years wouldn't be that great for Q shareholders.
