There never were any 1.13GHz parts. What has been withdrawn is the ads for systems.

Not exactly. I just called IBM. They will not take any orders for the 1.13GHz PIII systems. The salesman told me they received 110 parts from Intel which were sold out the first day they were offered. He said Intel's next 1.13GHz processor delivery is not scheduled till late Oct. Hence, they removed the 1.13GHz PIII systems from the web site. They do have 1GHz PIII systems (10 left). He claims they receive about 40 parts a week from Intel. I called Dell and their estimated date of delivery for the 1.13GHZ PIII system is 32 days. He admitted they don't have the processor to start building the system today but given expected delivery, 32 days was the estimate. Of course, it is really OPEN ENDED. They will not guarantee ANYTHING. This 1.13GHz PIII launch is a FARCE. Of course, it was never about 1.13GHz. The bumped voltage and process shrink was to allow a reasonable number of 1GHz parts which we are just beginning to see now.
