John,

A delay on an introduction is a serious offense by Intel, AMD or Sun are given the benefit of the doubt.

This is a bizarre statement. No matter how well AMD is doing, the press raises questions about their viability in the x86 business. Very few articles about AMD fail to mention something about "past manufacturing problems".

Intel on the other hand is forgiven almost every sin, because they are Intel.

John,

<You probably believe the press coverage of Intel should be a combination of Tom's Hardware, The Register and the AMD thread(s). That would certainly give a balanced opinion of the company.>

As you probably already know, those three sources are actually one. Once an assumption or rumor shows up on one of these sites, it becomes fact on all others. This is why any time the Intelabees ask for links to support the AMDroids claims they often respond with one of these "sources" <g>.
