Finally, I'd like you to know that "spam" has never, is not, and never will be on my menu.

That is clear to any persistent reader of this thread.

My apologies to the thread for the long winded response to Mr. Finsterwald.

No apologies necessary to an itinerant poster to this thread. You have posted, and continue to post, very valuable facts and opinions.

With a long overdue thanks from this poster.

sorry David,

I jumped the gun because I dont trust GS any further than I can throw them. IMO they are crooks.

I also find it interesting that SI chose your post as a kewl post of the day, because I failed to see the significance of it other than the advertsing for SI for Palm on the SI homepage.

Just because the lock up has recently expired doesnt mean the large holders planning to sell have done so. In fact it makes sense to me to wait for some time after the lock up and sell into some upgrade or pump.

At 20Bln mkt cap PALM is currently trading at 20 times sales and over 400x trailing earnings, so personally I fail to see the upside in a slowing economy.

I hope you will accept my apology and good luck with your investments.

My opinions on Goldman Sachs remain unchanged.

M.

(2) The lockups on the 6 million PALM shares taken in the IPO by AOL/NOK/MOT also expired 7/27/00, as did the lockup on 2 to 3 million PALM shares bought by officers/directors of 3Com/Palm.

David,

I vaguely believe that the above statement is wrong. My understanding for the lockup on AOL/NOK/MOT were 12 months. Would some body want to confirm or dis-confirm?

Khan

P.S. You have been doing a fine job.

David,
Keep posting what you have been doing.

You will always see (short or would like to see PALM go
down kind of) morons jumping here to throw a stone or two and see whether they can stir up the buy bees. They get what they deserve from established threadizens.
