Leatherback turtle food,
RE:"It's a crying shame that there is no really valid third party in this country. The Reform Party is in the process of eating their young, and, while I like Nader, the Greens are not what I consider viable. Sigh"

I really thought the reform party was going to make a difference but it appears what organization they had is evaporating. I guess any party needs PR above all else...
OTOH, it seems as time goes on the government makes people more and more dependent...
I'm willing to bet that the 50% mark has been passed on who is getting some kind of government check...so it appears academic but it never ceases to amaze me peoples unwillingness to carve out their own destiny and provide for themselves rather than depend on the government.
Anyone who votes Demo figuring they will get back more than they put in must not be very self confident. Personally I'd rather invest my own money and take my chances....
Also, they clarion call of the Demos that any tax cut is a gift to the "rich" is just a dirty little lie. (rich is about $54k/year if you figure it out).
Take Federal gas tax for instance. Does a cut their help the "rich" or just anyone who drives a car?
As a matter of fact the biggest tax cut in a long time came a couple years ago in the form of 0% capital gains on the sale of a house held two years...signed and delivered by Congress and Bill Clinton.
Most of this "divide a conquer" stuff you hear or see is perpetuated by the media...and the media is liberal biased save a few sources like FOX news which seems to be balanced.
