Pravin-- I think "out of the box it [Septium] won’t immediately save Intel" implies a problem with the contents of the boxes, rather than a problem with the number of boxes, especially in the context of the next line being about a performance review coming at an unspecified future time and the Netbull benchmarks we know Intel will need time to convince the benchmarkers to use.

Eric,

We already know what the performance of the Pentium 4 will be, but unfortunately we can’t share that data with you just yet.

I don't think test samples usually go out to hardware sites more than a month in advance of a release. Intel could be planning a Willamette paper launch in September.

Agree. All things point to a Sept or early Oct Willy launch. I think volumes will be better than 1.13GHz P3, but not enough to be "material." (What besides stock sales is material to Intel anymore?)
