Ooops! Nixon was forced to resign and exiled form the party. Liddy went to prison. Too bad the dems couldn't say the same about Clinton. No statesmen in that party. JLA

Actually, you are wrong. There are two relevant connections. One is that the Democratic Party has always been prone to buy votes by rewarding supporters out of the public till. The other is that the Democratic Party has long manipulated public passions for the sake of winning elections. In the old South, it meant promoting racial supremacy. Now, it means scaring seniors about Social Security and Medicare........
