Understand chic, that I am talking about half-ways normal people. Your neighbours. Their lives have not changed yet.

I am not talking about a simple correction. I am thinking of a shitstorm. I am talking about a bit of panic. You know, untenable currency valuations, a gold boner that gets on the front page, a bonds picture that points even more clearly to recession, real-estate correcting, some real earnings problems, having to sell something you like because of another margin call (not just one of the Porches), etc.

During the period from March forward there was never a hint of acceptance that this could get a lot worse. To call that "denial" (we/I called it that) in retrospect, is to discount the strong move up this market has made. It turned out not to be denial at all, rather, it was a prescient voice.
